Skiing At The Grand Geneva Resort
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
My husband and I went skiing once together. We were spending the weekend in the Lake Geneva area in Wisconsin and we thought we would try going skiing for the day. We decided to go and ski at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva. You can ski there for the day without staying at their hotel. I ended up not enjoying skiing and found it actually a little scary. My opinion is that you have to start learning to ski as a child. Trying to learn as an adult didn't go over well with me. I wasn't confident about being able to stop, especially when going fast, and the ski lift really frightened me. I was able to go down the bunny slope a couple of times and was able to master the tow line. Anyways, the Grand Geneva Resort ski slopes are nice if you are thinking of going there. There are 18 slopes, snowboarding hills, cross country and snow shoe trails. They have snow making capabilities here, so there is guaranteed snow on the slopes all winter long. You can rent skis, snowboards, and snow shoes and there is also learn to ski programs. There is a snow sports shop and a Timbers Bar & Grill. The ski resort is open until 10pm, 7 days a week.
