KOA Campground WI Dells

KOA Campground
Wisconsin Dells
My husband and I camped one time at the KOA Campground in the Wisconsin Dells, before we had kids. The KOA wasn't anything spectacular. We liked the Sherwood Forest Campground in the Wisconsin Dells better that we had camped at the year prior. The KOA was more crowded and the campsites were very close to one another without as many trees. We ended up getting a bad location for our campsite. Our campsite was a single site that was located in the center of a cul-de-sac. Therefore, everyone on the primeter of the cul-de-sac were staring at us. We felt like we were on display.
The KOA campsites are for tents or RV's. The campground is open mid-April to the end of October. There is also "Kamping Kabins" that have heat and air conditioning. At night there is movies displayed at the outdoor theatre and on Saturdays there is candy bar bingo. The KOA has some special events and theme weekends throughout the summer. There is a heated pool and a new Splashpad area with sprinklers and water fountains for kids to play in. There is also a playground, volleyball and basketball courts, a camp store, rec room and laundromat. There are the sit down bikes you can rent that you see at a lot of the KOA campgrounds and there is free WI-FI. The KOA has restrooms with flush toilets and heated showers. Pets are allowed in the campground, but not in the camping cabins.
