Lamb's Farm
Libertyville Illinois
Lamb's Farm is located in Libertyville Illinois. It is a small farm and petting zoo attraction located 35 miles North of Chicago. You can't miss the large sign off the intersection of I-94 and Route 176. It was founded in 1961 as a means for people with developmental disabilities to have employment and vocational training. The small, farm style zoo has a petting zoo with animals such as sheep and goats. There is also mini-golf, a mini train ride, bounce house, and an old world carousel. There is also a pet shop that sells not only pets, but supplies and gifts. There is a puppy and kitten viewing from 10-4:30pm. There is also a year round Country Inn Restaurant. It serves meals daily and also hosts corporate events, picnics, weddings, birthday parties, and reunions. Beside special events, the restaurant also has special holiday brunches. There is a lakeside pavillion for picnicing. Also at Lamb's Farm, there is a country store and bakery, which also includes ice cream. Everything there is made, manufactured, and packaged there. Lastly, Lamb's Farm also has a thrift shop.
Lamb's Farm is a day trip activity and is big enough to entertain for about one to two hours. If you are looking for a short daily activity or want to visit a small zoo where you children can interact with some animals, then Lamb's Farm is a good choice.
