We have been to Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan Wisconsin once or twice. For a long time it was called Lake Lawn Lodge, but it is now called Lake Lawn Resort. My husband has memories of going to this resort as a kid and running the long, window enclosed hallways. Lake Lawn Resort is in Southern Wisconsin and is just 12 miles west of the town Lake Geneva. Lake Lawn Resort is an older resort that is situated on 275 wooded acres on Lake Delavan. This resort is for all ages, couples and families. The rooms have undergone some remodeling and have been updated with things such as finer linens and flat screened TVs. You can choose between standard rooms or suites. There are also rooms with lofts and stone fireplaces. Lake Lawn Lodge has an array of recreation available to match the seasons. There is a championship golf course, spa, indoor and outdoor pool, arcade, and mini-golf and basketball and volleyball courts. On the lake there is a marina that offers boats and boat slip rentals. You can cruise or fish on the lake. There is a lakeside hiking, biking, and jogging trail around the lake. In the winter you can cross country ski, sled, and ice fish at Lake Lawn Resort. For dining within the resort, there is the Frontier Restaurant which is classy but casual. It is great for a relaxing dinner as a couple, but is also suitable for a family. The Frontier Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the summern the Terrace Grill is open and you can eat outside overlooking the pool. Within the resort there is also a Lookout Bar and Manny's Old Fashion Deli & Ice Cream Shoppe. Here they serve bagels and croissants, burgers, brats, pizza, chili, popcorn, candy, and ice cream. Lastly, there is also a General Store for gifts and other needs.
Outside of the resort there are other things that you can find to do to entertain yourself. You can drive to Lake Geneva to take in the sights or go to the beach there. Within the town of Delavan, you can go horseback riding, go to the Dancing Horses Dinner Theatre, or go to Animal Gardens, which is a zoo that also has a small train ride.
Lake Lawn Lodge is a good choice if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Delavan Wisconsin area. It is good for a weekend getaway.
