If you are looking for nice accomodations in the town of Dodgeville Wisconsin, then the best choice is the House On The Rock Inn. My husband and I and our 1 year old daughter stayed here in the summer of 2002. The hotel is located in the small and quite town of Dodgeville. It is a very nice place that is up to date, clean, and has the northwoods decor of Wisconsin. The rooms are nice, the service is good, and most of all it has a very nice indoor and outdoor pool area. The indoor pool area consists of a regular pool and a kids water play area that has a large submarine marine that the kids can play in and go down the small slides that come out of it. There is also an outdoor pool that has a concrete deck area around it with seating. The pool area also has a whirlpool. The House On The Rock Inn also has an exercise facitlity, a lounge, a spa, and a nearby golf course. The House On The Rock is associated with the House On The Rock attraction, which is 7 miles from the Inn. This is a house that was designed by Alex Jordan, which is filled with many crazy sights that fullfill the senses. The House On The Rock Inn is also located right by Governor's Dodge State Park. This is a wonderful state park that offers lots of hiking, great scenery, a nice beach, and very good camping. I recommend visiting this state park. If you want to spend a weekend at Governor's Dodge State Park, but don't want to camp, then the House On The Rock Inn is a great option for lodging. In Dodgeville Wisconsin there are restuarants and fast food franchises. There is also some shopping and a Super Walmart for purchasing needed items and supplies. The House On The Rock Inn is a fine facility and I recommend it.
