Fox River Trail
Geneva Illinois
In our first two years of marriage, my husband and I often went to Geneva Illinois to bike along the Fox River Trail. This is a nice trail for biking, hiking, cross country skiing, and jogging. There seems to always be people around, so it is also great for people wathing. We usually parked downtown in a city parking lot, unloaded our bikes and hopped on the trail from there. There is a place, right downtown, where you can also rent bikes. The trail follows the river and in the areas we experienced, it was paved. There are some streets you will have to stop to cross. Along the way there are some restaurants and places that you can stop to eat at. There are also picnic tables along the way and benches to stop and rest on if needed. There is an old windmill in one large open area. The Fox River Trail is very long. It covers many towns and counties. There are 30 miles in Kane County alone.
